Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has completed a permanent transfer from English Championship side Watford to Greek Super League club Aris FC, signing a three-year contract.
The 26-year-old brings an end to a seven-year spell at Watford, where he made over 80 appearances after joining from Manchester City’s academy in 2019. He also enjoyed loan spells with Reading and Turkish club Gençlerbirliği during his time with the Hornets.
Speaking after sealing the move, Dele-Bashiru described Aris as “a new challenge” and pledged to give everything for the club as they target success in the upcoming Greek Super League campaign.
The switch offers the Nigerian international an opportunity for a fresh start and regular first-team football, with Aris strengthening their midfield ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Dele-Bashiru, who represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup before progressing to the senior national team setup, will now hope strong performances in Greece can reignite his international career.
