Super Eagles midfielder leaves Belgium with heartfelt appreciation after sealing his move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has officially brought the curtain down on his time at Club Brugge, sharing an emotional farewell message with the club’s supporters after completing his move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 25-year-old sealed a permanent transfer to the German club, ending a successful four-year spell in Belgium during which he developed into one of Club Brugge’s most dependable midfielders and played a key role in the team’s domestic and European campaigns.
Taking to his Instagram page, Onyedika thanked the club, teammates and supporters for their unwavering support throughout his stay at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
“This chapter comes to an end, but the memories will stay with me forever. Once a Boeren, always a Boeren.”

He admitted that leaving the club was an emotional moment and expressed gratitude to everyone he worked with during his time in Belgium.
The Nigerian international paid special tribute to the Club Brugge supporters, acknowledging the role they played during both the highs and lows of his career.
“To the fans, we experienced a lot of joy, and in the tough periods we suffered and stood together. You never stopped supporting me, and that’s something I will always be grateful for.”
Onyedika also reflected on some of the defining moments of his Club Brugge career, including memorable UEFA Champions League nights and the trophies won during his time with the Belgian giants.
“We achieved a lot together. I can’t forget the amazing Champions League nights and the titles we won. This chapter comes to an end, but the memories will stay with me forever. Once a Boeren, always a Boeren.”
The midfielder joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 and quickly established himself as a regular starter through his energy, composure and defensive discipline in midfield.
During his spell with the Belgian champions, Onyedika made 183 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists while helping the club secure multiple domestic honours.
His consistent performances also strengthened his place in the Super Eagles squad, and the move to Eintracht Frankfurt now offers him the opportunity to test himself in the Bundesliga and continue his development at one of Germany’s leading clubs.
As he begins the next phase of his career, Onyedika leaves Club Brugge with the respect of the supporters and a legacy built on commitment, success and memorable performances.
