The Premier League club are reportedly assessing the Millwall forward as they consider their attacking options before the summer transfer window closes.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly considering a move for Nigerian forward Femi Azeez as the Premier League club assess their options ahead of the end of the summer transfer window.
According to reports, Brighton have identified the Millwall attacker as a potential target, with the club’s interest understood to be linked to uncertainty surrounding Amario Cozier-Duberry, who has been linked with a move to Scottish Premiership side Rangers.
Azeez, who represents Nigeria internationally, is expected to attract interest this summer following an impressive campaign with Millwall in the Championship.
Azeez made his mark at Millwall
The 24-year-old enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, finishing the Championship season with 11 goals and seven assists, according to season statistics.
His form helped establish him as one of Millwall’s key attacking players, while his performances also earned him recognition at international level.
Azeez ended the club season on a high, scoring twice in Millwall’s 2-0 victory over Oxford United on the final day of the Championship campaign. The result took his league tally to 11 goals.
Although Millwall entered the promotion play-offs, their campaign ultimately ended in the semi-finals against Hull City.
Super Eagles breakthrough adds to his appeal
Azeez subsequently made his Nigeria debut during the 2026 Unity Cup in London.
The Millwall forward immediately caught the attention of Super Eagles supporters, scoring twice as Nigeria defeated Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semi-final at The Valley.
He then contributed an assist in Nigeria’s 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the final as the Super Eagles successfully retained the Unity Cup.
The strong international introduction has further raised Azeez’s profile at a time when clubs are assessing his future.
Could Femi Azeez make the Premier League jump?
A potential move to Brighton would represent a major step forward for Azeez, who has developed his career in the English game and established himself at Championship level.
For Brighton, the attraction is understood to be Azeez’s versatility, attacking output and ability to operate in wide areas.
However, at this stage, the reported interest should not be confused with a completed transfer or formal agreement. Brighton are understood to be weighing their options, with the situation likely to become clearer as the summer transfer window approaches its deadline.
For Femi Azeez, a move to the Premier League would offer the Nigerian forward an opportunity to test himself at the highest level of English club football after a breakthrough season with Millwall and an impressive start to his Super Eagles career.
