Talks underway over a potential loan switch to the Turkish Super Lig.

Trabzonspor have intensified their pursuit of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare after submitting an official loan offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the Super Eagles forward.

The Turkish Süper Lig side have moved from initial interest to formal negotiations, with reports indicating that a season-long loan proposal has now been presented to Wolves as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign. While discussions are ongoing, no agreement has been reached between the two clubs.

The latest Tolu Arokodare transfer news comes just months after the Nigerian completed his move to Wolves from Belgian outfit Genk. Although he enjoyed an impressive spell in Belgium before arriving in England, the 25-year-old found regular starting opportunities difficult to come by during his debut season at Molineux.

That situation has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, with Trabzonspor emerging as the first club to make a concrete move for the striker.

According to reports from Turkey, Trabzonspor’s proposal is based on a season-long loan deal, with negotiations expected to continue over the financial structure and any additional clauses that could be included in the agreement. Wolves are yet to make a final decision as they assess whether allowing Arokodare to leave temporarily fits into their plans for the upcoming season.

The Nigerian international is believed to be keen on playing regular first-team football, something that could influence any decision regarding his immediate future.

Arokodare built his reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting Nigerian forwards during his time at Genk, where his goalscoring exploits earned him widespread recognition before securing a move to English football. However, adapting to the demands of the English game proved challenging during his first campaign, leading to speculation that a temporary move elsewhere could help him regain consistent form and confidence.

Trabzonspor see the towering striker as an ideal addition to their attack, with his physical presence, aerial ability and finishing qualities viewed as assets capable of making an immediate impact in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The coming days are expected to be crucial as negotiations continue between both clubs. While Trabzonspor remain hopeful of reaching an agreement, Wolves are carefully considering the proposal before making a final decision on the future of the Super Eagles forward.

For now, Tolu Arokodare’s transfer to Trabzonspor remains a possibility rather than a completed deal, with both clubs continuing discussions as the summer transfer window gathers pace.
