Super Falcons goalkeeper earns recognition after outstanding performances for Brighton.

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has emerged as the goalkeeper with the highest save percentage in the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League, capping an impressive debut campaign with Brighton.

Official statistics released by the Women’s Super League on Monday showed that the Nigerian international recorded a save percentage of 74.7 per cent, the best among all goalkeepers who featured in at least 10 league matches during the season.

The Brighton goalkeeper finished ahead of Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton, who registered 74.6 per cent, while Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce ended the campaign in third place with 73.6 per cent.

In her first season in England’s top-flight women’s competition, Chiamaka Nnadozie made 62 saves from 83 shots on target across 19 Women’s Super League matches, highlighting her consistency between the posts.

The 25-year-old’s performances played a key role in helping Brighton remain competitive throughout the campaign, including the club’s impressive run to the Women’s FA Cup final, where they were beaten by Manchester City.

The Nigerian goalkeeper also finished the season with six clean sheets, placing her joint fourth among all WSL goalkeepers, while league data credited her with preventing an estimated 3.3 goals, reflecting her ability to produce crucial saves in difficult situations.

Earlier in the campaign, Nnadozie won the Barclays Women’s Super League Save of the Month award following a superb fingertip save against Liverpool.

That remarkable stop also earned the Super Falcons star a nomination for the Women’s Super League Save of the Season award, further underlining what has been an outstanding debut year in English football.

With Chiamaka Nnadozie finishing as the goalkeeper with the highest save percentage in the 2025/26 Women’s Super League, the Nigerian international continues to strengthen her reputation as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers ahead of another important season for both Brighton and the Super Falcons.
