The Super Eagles defender was among the Forest players involved in the launch of the club’s new adidas away strip.

Nigeria international Ola Aina has featured in the launch of Nottingham Forest’s new adidas away kit ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The Premier League club unveiled the new strip on Saturday, August 8, with Aina among the Forest players helping to showcase the design.

The new Nottingham Forest away kit for the 2026/27 season takes inspiration from the club’s heritage, with a distinctive collegiate green colour replacing the traditional home red.

According to the club, the design also brings back the iconic adidas trefoil logo, while the shirt features an all-over graphic, embroidered branding and the manufacturer’s trademark three stripes.

Green shorts and matching socks complete the new Nottingham Forest away jersey, which will be worn by the club’s men’s, women’s and academy teams throughout the campaign.

Forest are set to give supporters their first opportunity to see the new kit in competitive action during the inaugural Friuli Venezia Giulia tournament on Saturday.

The event will see Forest face Udinese Calcio and Spanish giants Barcelona at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Aina continues Forest journey

The unveiling adds another chapter to Aina’s growing association with Nottingham Forest.

The Super Eagles defender joined Forest in July 2023 after leaving Italian club Torino, initially signing a one-year contract with the Premier League side.

He made his Forest debut on the opening weekend of the 2023/24 Premier League season against Arsenal.

Aina subsequently opened his Forest goals account in November 2023, scoring in a 2-0 home victory over Aston Villa at the City Ground.

His performances earned him a contract extension, with Forest activating an additional year on his deal in May 2024.

The Nigerian later scored his first Premier League goal of the 2024/25 campaign in Forest’s impressive 3-0 victory over West Ham United in November 2024.

That result moved Forest up to third place in the Premier League at the time.

Aina’s commitment to the club was further underlined in July 2025 when Nottingham Forest confirmed that the defender had signed an extension keeping him at the City Ground until the summer of 2028.

The 29-year-old made 18 Premier League appearances last season and registered one assist.

With the new campaign approaching, Aina will now be looking to remain an important part of the Forest squad while continuing to represent Nigeria at international level.

The unveiling of the 2026/27 Nottingham Forest away kit also gives supporters an early glimpse of the colours Forest’s men’s, women’s and academy sides will wear during the new season.
