While the Super Falcons battle Egypt for a place in the knockout stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), the Flying Eagles will be aiming to book a place in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship when they face hosts Côte d’Ivoire.
Super Falcons Face Must-Win Test Against Egypt
The Super Falcons head into their final Group C fixture knowing that victory over Egypt is essential if they are to keep their hopes of defending their continental crown alive.

Nigeria defeated Zambia 1-0 but lost 3-2 to Malawi, meaning certain scorelines in the Malawi-Zambia match could work against the Super Falcons despite a win over Egypt.
The match between Nigeria and Egypt is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Nigerian time in Rabat.
Flying Eagles Target WAFU B Final
Earlier in the day, the Flying Eagles will attempt to keep their title defence alive when they take on tournament hosts Côte d’Ivoire in the semi-finals of the WAFU B U-20 Championship.
Nigeria progressed to the last four after finishing second in Group B despite suffering a 2-0 defeat to Burkina Faso in their final group-stage match.
The seven-time African champions now face arguably their toughest challenge of the competition against the host nation, with a place in the final up for grabs.
Victory would not only keep Nigeria’s hopes of retaining the WAFU B title alive but would also strengthen the team’s push towards qualification for the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
