Turkish Women’s Super League champions secure the services of the former NWFL MVP on a deal running until 2027.
Turkish Women’s Football Super League champions Fenerbahce have officially unveiled Nigerian midfielder Abideen Suliat Olajumoke as their latest signing, adding another talented Nigerian player to their squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Istanbul-based club confirmed the transfer through an announcement on its official website, revealing that the former Edo Queens playmaker has completed her move from fellow Turkish side ABB Fomget GSK.
The 24-year-old has signed a contract that will keep her at Fenerbahce until the conclusion of the 2026-27 season, as the club prepares for both domestic and European competitions.
Abideen is expected to be part of Fenerbahce’s squad for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, where the Turkish champions will be aiming to book a place in the competition’s later stages.
The Nigerian midfielder first attracted widespread attention during her spell with Edo Queens, where her outstanding displays helped propel the Benin City club to the 2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title.
Her exceptional campaign earned her the NWFL Premiership Most Valuable Player award in 2024, further cementing her reputation as one of the brightest midfielders to emerge from Nigerian women’s football. She also delivered the winning goal in the final of the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, helping Edo Queens secure continental qualification.
Following her move to Turkey, Abideen continued her impressive development with ABB Fomget GSK, contributing 15 goals in 41 league appearances before earning a transfer to reigning champions Fenerbahce.
Known for her versatility in midfield, high work rate, ability to drive forward with the ball and strong defensive qualities, the Nigerian has built a reputation as one of the standout midfielders in the Turkish Women’s Football Super League.
Abideen also joins a growing list of Nigerian players to represent Fenerbahce’s women’s team. Regina Otu and Flourish Sabastine were both part of the club’s squad during the previous season.
