Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has reportedly rejected a proposed move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor as he waits for clarity over his future at Italian giants AC Milan.
According to Hot Sports Scoops, the Nigerian attacker was approached by Trabzonspor during the current transfer window, with the Turkish club interested in bringing him to Turkey.
Chukwueze spent the previous season on loan at Premier League club Fulham, where he gained valuable experience in English football. The winger recorded three goals and four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions for the London-based side.
However, Fulham decided not to activate the option to make the move permanent, leading to the Super Eagles star returning to AC Milan ahead of the new campaign.
Samuel Chukwueze Chooses AC Milan Stay Over Turkey Transfer
Trabzonspor were reportedly prepared to pay around €15 million to secure the services of the Nigerian winger this summer.
Despite the interest from Turkey, Chukwueze has turned down the opportunity and is believed to prefer remaining at AC Milan as he waits to understand his position under new manager Ruben Amorim.
The 27-year-old forward is hoping to convince the Milan coaching staff that he still has an important role to play at the San Siro.
Super Eagles Winger Focused On Milan Opportunity
Samuel Chukwueze joined AC Milan with expectations of becoming a key attacking option, and the Nigerian international is now focused on fighting for regular playing time.
His next chapter at the Italian club could depend on Amorim’s tactical plans and how the Portuguese coach intends to use his wide players.
With the new season approaching, Chukwueze’s situation will continue to attract attention from clubs across Europe.
For now, the Super Eagles winger appears determined to remain in Serie A and prove himself at one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
