Super Eagles get full squad ready for Morocco after Victor Osimhen joins camp before departure to Fès.

Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen has finally arrived in Cairo to link up with the Nigeria national team ahead of their departure to Fès, Morocco, marking the final phase of preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Osimhen’s arrival on Wednesday night completed the 28-man Super Eagles roster in Egypt after a build-up camp that saw most players report earlier ahead of Nigeria’s tournament journey.
The 26-year-old Galatasaray forward, who has been pivotal for both club and country, brought renewed energy to the squad as head coach Eric Sékou Chelle now has his full set of players ready for the continental showpiece.
Earlier this week, the Super Eagles wrapped up training in Cairo, including a 2-1 friendly defeat to hosts Egypt, a match that served as final preparation before their departure for Fès.
With Osimhen now at full strength in the squad alongside stars like Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon, Nigeria’s technical team has shifted focus to tactical refinement ahead of the AFCON group stage.
The Super Eagles are drawn in Group C, where they will face Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, starting with their opener on 23 December in Fès.
Osimhen’s leadership and attacking prowess are expected to be central to Nigeria’s title challenge as the three-time African champions look to reclaim continental glory in Morocco.
