Jamilu Yusuf’s header and Collins double secure crucial win for the Chanji Boys.

Katsina United pulled off a dramatic 3–2 win over Enyimba in a pulsating Match-day 14 clash, handing fans one of the most thrilling games of the NPFL season so far.

The game, played in Ilorin, saw the Chanji Boys take the lead in the 32nd minute through Jamilu Yusuf, whose header gave them a slender half-time advantage. Early in the second half, Uche Collins doubled Katsina’s lead, firing home to put his side in a strong position. However, Enyimba responded with urgency: Stanley Dimgba pulled a goal back around the hour mark to set up a grandstand finish.

Just two minutes later, Collins struck again for Katsina, making it 3–1 and seemingly putting the game out of reach. Yet Enyimba were not done. In the 64th minute, Issah Mohammed netted to reduce the deficit, but Katsina’s defence stood firm in the closing stages.

The result is significant for Katsina United, delivering a morale-boosting victory that could positively influence their league campaign. Meanwhile, Enyimba will be rueing missed opportunities after letting their lead slip and then almost clawing their way back.
