Nigerian youth football continues to make waves on the global stage, as One Touch FC of Magama, Bauchi State put in a string of commanding performances during their ongoing UK training tour.

The U19 side, who have been based at the prestigious Brooke House College Football Academy for the past few months, recently returned from a successful playing tour of Scotland, where they showcased the depth of talent emerging from Nigeria’s grassroots football.

In a remarkable run of results, One Touch FC defeated St. Mirren U18s 5-0, swept aside Hearts U18s 3-0, and rounded off with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Aberdeen U18s. Their attacking flair, tactical discipline, and sheer athleticism have not only impressed spectators but also drawn attention from scouts and coaches across the UK.

Club officials confirmed that there is already keen interest in several players from professional clubs, with inquiries coming in following the team’s standout performances.

“This tour has been an incredible experience for the boys,” a team representative said. “Not only have they adapted well to the European style of play, but they have shown that Nigerian talent can compete with, and even dominate, some of the top youth academies in the UK.”

The trip forms part of One Touch FC’s wider strategy of exposing young Nigerian players to international football environments, preparing them for careers in the global game while flying the flag for Bauchi and Nigeria at large.

As they round up their UK program at Brooke House College, the team can take pride in a tour that has already underlined the growing reputation of Nigerian grassroots clubs as breeding grounds for world-class football talent. With professional interest mounting, it may not be long before some of these rising stars take their next steps onto even bigger stages.
