Nigerian stars plying their trade abroad continued to impress over the weekend, with forward Joy Omewa leading the headlines after another match-winning performance, while Regina Otu reached a major milestone with Fenerbahçe Women.

Omewa Continues Scoring Form in England

At the City Ground, Omewa maintained her fine form in front of goal, helping Nottingham Forest Women secure a 2-1 victory over Durham Women in the Women’s Super League 2.

The Nigerian striker reacted quickly inside the box to score in the 14th minute, marking her third goal for the club and her second in consecutive matches. Her early strike set the tone for Forest, who extended their lead shortly after through Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah.

The midfielder found the net in the 14th minute during a comfortable 3-0 win over Amed SK Women, as Fenerbahçe extended their unbeaten run and maintained their dominance at the top of the table. Compatriot Flourish Sabastine was also in action, contributing to another strong team performance.

Echegini and Ajibade Feature in PSG Victory

In France, Jennifer Echegini played a key creative role for Paris Saint-Germain, providing an assist in their 2-1 win over Nantes in the Division 1 Féminine. Rasheedat Ajibade came off the bench to add energy late in the game, helping PSG secure all three points.
