
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles touched down in the city of Talca on Thursday afternoon, ahead of their campaign in the 24th edition of the FIFA U20 World Cup. All Group F fixtures; featuring Nigeria, Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia are scheduled to hold in Talca.
The two-time U20 World Cup finalists were welcomed on arrival by FIFA and Local Organizing Committee officials, alongside representatives of their hotel. The team had their first training session later in the evening.
The Flying Eagles are accommodated at Hotel Diego de Almagro in Talca. Prior to their arrival, the team completed a 12-day training camp in Santiago, where they faced both host nation Chile and Australia in preparatory matches for the global tournament, which kicks off on Saturday, 27th September.
In those warm-up games, Nigeria held Chile to a 1-1 draw before securing a 3-1 win over Australia in their final friendly on Tuesday.
The Flying Eagles will begin their quest for glory on Monday, 29th September, when they take on Norway at Estadio Fiscal de Talca, before facing Saudi Arabia and Colombia in subsequent Group F fixtures.
